Blockbuster recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, as they are $1.46 billion in debt. This video rental chain hopes that this move will allow them to better compete against places such as Netflix, a place that mails movies to its subscribers and also allows them to digitally watch movies, and Apple, which allows people to instantly rent movies via the iTunes store.
