Barnes & Noble, the biggest major chain and the nation’s largest bookstore company, posts a rough third quarter with total revenue down 8.8 percent. Barnes & Noble’s e-reader, the Nook, also did not do well, and there are now talks about discontinuing the e-reader all together or scaling back on production. What will Barnes & Noble’s come-back be?
