The April report on consumer prices from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicated that while all purpose white flour (up 46% since April, 2007), Grade A large eggs (up 28%), and a gallon of whole milk (up 21%) have risen in price, lettuce (down 8.5%) and beef (down 4.7%) will cost less.
